Keith Bray

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Hi dear sir friends,

October has arrived and I certainly can see that the summer is actually over, but still we have lovely days here in the south of Spain.

Last week, we had an interesting panel, that, I have to admit, became at times quite personal, but that is the way it goes. This week, I have finally again a man on the show of The Coaching Panel. His name is Keith Bray.

Keith was educated in Toronto and at the University of Western Ontario.

Since finishing studies at Western, he has been involved in life long learning including programs at York University, Grant McEwen and Centennial Colleges, Kraft University and has attended a host of independently conducted seminars and learning venues.

Keith has lectured at York University, Centennial College and spoken to groups in Canada, the US, Europe and Australia and has been published in several industry magazines including Supermarket News, Canadian Grocer, Western Grocer and Metro Land newspapers .

Since completing his tenure as President of the Markham Board of Trade, Keith has focused and expanding his own education on human potential and has completed certification as a Life Coach. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Spirituality.

In 1994-95, he attended Homewood in Guelph, arguably Canada’s leading addiction treatment program and did an extensive after care program at Homewood. He has worked in a volunteer capacity at Bellwood Rehabilitation Centre in Toronto.

Keith has spent a large portion of his life working with others. Coaching in his areas of expertise fulfills Keith’s Life Purpose, and he works with clients both locally and on a global basis.

As well as being a husband, father of four, grandfather of three and engaged in business, Keith has been an active community volunteer and supporter who believes in giving back. Keith has been a successful independent consultant since incorporating in 1990 following his presidency of a major branded food company.

Keith plays sports at a competitive level, and has been an active coach of sports teams. His current Life Coaching practice employs many of the skills gathered from other phases of life.

Keith brings out the strengths and talents people have within. He is a natural coach and mentor.

Most importantly, he has faced major challenges in life including addictions and abuse, and through hard work and choosing a proven template, has walked the journey of transforming his own life and finding abundance and purpose through a huge attitudinal change (a spiritual awakening). As well as being there for his clients at all times, he has a wealth of personal experience to share when requested or when deemed to be of benefit in meeting objectives.

He has walked the walk, has recovered from much and continues in the growth and recovery process recognizing it is a life long journey.

Keith is a founding member of Big Life and is active in several electronic networking and business ventures. He is currently a Director of Maple Leaf International Acquisitions. He is an active golfer, and player in the game of life!

Keith welcomes the opportunity to work with others in finding a better and more abundant life.

Keith is a proven coach who is prepared to be a “Trusted Confidant” to those who want to follow tested footsteps and by changing, to find peace and serenity. He coaches people who want to LIVE life….and on life’s terms; not watch it go by.

Maggie Currie

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

Hi dear friends,

Time is flying by and this week we have our last guest of the month, as next week we have The Coaching Panel’s panel. But that is for next week. Let me introduce to you this week’s guest: Maggie Currie.

Maggie was born in Braintree, Essex, an illegitimate baby left in a children’s home. She was adopted and brought up in Barkingside, Essex and was sent to a private school at age 11 and achieved all the qualifications necessary to be a secretary. Her first job at the age of 16 was with the Legal & General Assurance Society in London where she started out as a shorthand typist, progressing to personal secretary by the time she left to have her family at age 22. She married at age 19 and had three children. Unfortunately this marriage did not last and she remarried at age 32 and moved to Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Returning to work when the children were old enough she worked for the NHS as the secretary to a Professor of Thoracic Medicine at The London Chest Hospital and subsequently for a Consultant Psychiatrist at Parklands Hospital in Basingstoke, where they had moved to from Southend-on-Sea in Essex when the children had all left home.

She relocated to the Isle of Wight in 2003, having had a holiday home there since 1998, which was intended to be a retirement home. The move was prompted by the premature death of their next door neighbour just before her 60th birthday.

She started my own secretarial business on the Island aimed at small businesses who could not afford to employ another person. This has built up from just 1 customer in 2004 to over 60 currently.

Whilst on a Business Link course in 2004 she met someone who was undertaking a Life Coaching course with Newcastle College, and it was free at that time. It sounded interesting to her and she had nothing to lose, so she took their free Certificate and Diploma courses as well and successfully qualified as Personal Life Coach. Maggoie also discovered that she loved coaching.

She bumped into Jonathan Jay, who she remembered from his stage hypnotic act some ten years before in the holiday camps on the Isle of Wight, at a Small Business Exhibition at the NEC in 2005 and he suggested that she joins him at the Coaching Academy to gain even better qualifications, which she did and successfully qualified as a Corporate & Executive Coach.

She met Dawn Breslin through the Coaching Academy and loved the work she did and the way she did it, and trained with her to become a Confidence Life Coach Practitioner and Confidence Group Trainer. She loves this even more than just coaching.

More recently Maggie has been licensed by Susan Jeffers to present her workshops based on her book “Feel the fear and do it anyway”. This is just fabulous.

She is on a mission to inspire everyone to find and live their passions - to be their authentic, true self. She feels her job is to be responsive, flexible and enabling, to draw out the star in people. In particular, she is skilled in rebuilding people’s self-esteem and confidence, enabling them to develop to their full potential. To do all this requires a holistic, lively approach to personal and professional development, from the delivery of the training and coaching through to on-going support. And she is interested in results – no ifs, no buts.

She has articles published in:

  • European Coaching Institute Newsletter June 2006 – Is it cool to be happy?
  • Hearing Concern Magazine 2006 - "Benefits of Thought Field Therapy in adapting to loss of hearing"
  • Business Vision Magazine - September 2006 - Do you want your ideal work/life balance?

Maggie has recently started writing her first book on life coaching which she plans to have finished and published by the end of this year.

Maggie and myself are looking forward to welcome you as listener during the LIVE interview this coming Tuesday September 23rd 2008 at 20:00 UTC, which is: 21:00 GMT - 22:00 Brussels/Madrid - 16:00 New York. You can listen in for FREE at http://www.thecoachingpanel.com/

If you may have any question for Maggie, feel free to use the comment section here below this post.

Judy Reith

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Hi dear listeners and friends,

Things are going very smoothly this month on The Coaching Panel, and we will continue this next week with our next guest Judy Reith.

When Judy became a mum in 1991, she thought being a parent would be the most natural job in the world. It was much tougher than she imagined. The hardest years were when her two children were about 3 and five – they were arguing with each other and with their parents. She read books and watched parenting programmes and talked with other mothers, but the real transformation came after attending a parenting course. She decided to train to run them herself to give as many parents as possible the opportunity to make their family life better, just as hers had been.
She has been working in parenting education since 1998 running courses in London and Cambridge having originally trained with Parent Network (now part of Parentline Plus)

She is an accredited Life Coach with Distinction from The Coaching Academy, to meet the demand for helping parents individually or as a couple. She has three children and being a Mum remains the most challenging and rewarding part of her life, and she fully understands the pressures on us as parents. She loves working with parents and seeing them flourish as they achieve their parenting goals.
She follows a professional code of Ethics, she is a Consultant for the Parenting Education and Support Forum.

How do she works?
Most of her clients are parents who see her individually, in person or by phone for coaching sessions – usually in blocks of six sessions. About 30% of her clients are working on life coaching (e.g. confidence, career, relationship issues)

Courses – She facilitates the following Parenting course:
Parenting Matters, Being A Parent, Sibling Rivalry, Living With Teenagers

Workshops – usually one off – two hours on a range of parenting topics, such as Stop Juggling – Start Living or You’re A Star! - (boosting self esteem) She runs these for private groups of parents, or in companies dedicated to supporting their working parents. She also speaks to women’s groups about the nature of her work and how she runs her business, Parenting People

Radio – She is a regular guest on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and she has been interviewed by local and National print, radio and television journalists about parenting

Writing – Her first book Teach Yourself Motherhood (Hodders 2008) is generating plenty of new work leads. She also write columns for magazines and newsletters

Freebies – She gives a portion of her time each year to run workshops for charities working with parents, and she provides upto an hour a fortnight of free coaching time to parents who are on Income Support.

Her Passion – She loves working with parents watching them grow into confident happy parents. For her, it’s the best job in the world!

Join Judy and Coach Erwin LIVE on Tuesday September 16th 2008 at 20:00 UTC / 22:00 CET / 16:00 EST! We are both looking forward welcoming you as listener on the live show.

Lauren Ottewil

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Hi dear friends,

My first guest in the new season of The Coaching Panel is Lauren Ottewil, and she will be interviewed on September 2nd.

Lauren Ottewill was born in Ireland and grew up in Israel. She returned to the UK in the 1980’s and began to develop her own unique approach to life. You could say that she has always been a “go getter“, leaving Israel and traveling the world and deciding to write her own musical and start her own theatre company, when she couldn’t get the part she wanted however she still wasn’t there and felt that something was missing, and as a trained singer with a strong ambition to be on the stage, she began to search for ways to find the key to open the door to success and how to live a happy life.

To help her with this Lauren started out by training as a holistic practitioner, ,i.e. taking care of the physical by studying Reiki healing and Reflexology ,after experiencing the value of this in her own life. However she began to understand that the Physical part was only a small factor in life and she started to ask bigger questions and was looking for better solutions, and so became obsessed, in a good way, with the mind, and how she could achieve her dreams, by learning more about how to develop her own mind and control her own thoughts. Lauren began to practice visualization and also worked on changing her core damaging beliefs and began to see miracles appearing in her life.

Her first audio cassette which helped her to learn this amazing tool. “Was The Power Of Visualization” by Victor Poulous which she purchased from “Nightingale Conant” on one of their, listen for 30 days and send back guarantees This helped her move on to the meta physical side of life, by becoming a qualified “Louise Hay Counselor” and by learning the importance of positive belief systems, and how essential forgiveness and positive thoughts are in our lives.

Over the years Lauren began to design her own way of living which was a combination of spirituality and visualization and learning to take action by setting positive yet realistic goals. Lauren decided to study life coaching after following the teachings of Tony Robbins and Wayne Dwyer and other motivational teachers. This has helped her gain a lot of success she believes, as she finds a balance between developing the spirituality of the client and also taking steps to make their dream come true, by gently and assertively getting that client out of their comfort zones, and always treating each person she works with as an individual who will develop in their own unique way and in their own time. She also believes that when we start to focus on our strengths rather than our weaknesses, we begin to let go of that weaker part and we become the amazing powerful person we were meant to be.

Lauren trained with the Jonathan Jay Coaching Academy and qualified in 2004. Since then she has been developing a practice where she helps the individual to find a way to fill the empty void or the hole inside by changing it into a magnificent vista which can be filled by looking at each person’s own uniqueness and talents and ambitions, and then coming up with a plan around their values and beliefs, to change their lives and help them overcome obstacles and damaging life patterns. Lauren believes that inside each and every one of us is a unique and magical intelligence, which knows everything and can be used in innovative ways to help us heal ourselves and our lives. She also believes that when we are in touch with this amazing part of ourselves ,which she believes is the soul, we can and will create miracles in our lives and can prevent disease of the mind which can lead to disease of the body. If you can find something in life, that means more to you then the damaging habit or condition you will discover that whatever is holding you back ,will disappear from your life and you will reach your goals. Sometimes goals need to become more within our reality, then we get closer to achieving them, and before you know it, you are actually working towards your dream.

We both are looking forward to welcome you as listener on our LIVE interview on September 2nd 2008 at 20:00 UTC / 22:00 CET / 16:00 EST.

Have an outstanding day!

Susan Bagyura

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Hi dear friends and colleagues,

In this week’s show, I have the pleasure to interview Susan Bagyura.

With over twenty-five years of sales and entrepreneurial experience, Susan Bagyura represents a viewpoint that covers several perspectives. Experienced in the environment of corporate America, Susan has also lived and worked in Zimbabwe, Ireland, England, and Austria. She works with small business owners and entrepreneurs helping them define and implement strategies and processes needed to create quantum leaps. This experience has given her a unique ability to analyze businesses and develop strategies that will quickly and effectively change the direction of those businesses.

Susan believes that success in every area of business and personal life is all about the mindset. The economy is all about mindset. While one person complains about how bad business is, someone else in the same industry and the same marketplace is experiencing their greatest growth. Instead of teaching people what to do, Susan shows them how to take the lid off their thinking and go after what they really can do! If you want your company to perform at optimum levels, then you must change the thinking of your people, starting at the top. It is critical to work from a higher level, not a lower.

Whatever is happening in the business is a reflection of what is happening in the mind of the top person. Mindset comes first…behaviors and results follow. Change the mindset and be prepared for quantum leaps in performance.

Blue Danube is a coaching, consulting and training company whose innovative service delivery model takes the best of products, skills and techniques to help clients achieve better results. Seminars, programs and products as delivered by Blue Danube Coaching will show how one can BE more, DO more and HAVE more.

Susan brings her expertise from years in sales, marketing, and the corporate world to a new level. Her solid experience as an Executive Leadership coach and a LifeSuccess Consultant give her book a combination of information and guidance that can make a good, successful business person into a stellar success living an abundant life. The Visionary Leader is a great first step to working with Susan and changing your business, your life and the world around you for the better.

Baiju Solanki

Monday, May 19th, 2008

After having last week Martin Cornes as the first male guest on The Coaching Panel, I have immediatelely set up a second male guest on the show. This week’s guest is Baiju Solanki.

Baiju is Ei (Emotional Intelligence) Performance Coach. He runs his own company called Performance Coaching and Training Ltd. After Graduating in Psychology, he was in Lecturer in Psychology for 4 years, while at the same time completing his Masters in Sport Psychology. After teaching he went into Sales and worked for a company dealing with marketing solutions for Universities looking to attract International Students. The last 4 years he was Sales Director running the sales team, leading sales training and coaching. In 2001 he took a Coaching qualification and in 2006 Accelerated Coaching qualification specialising in developing emotional intelligence.

What he has found during his time teaching, in sales and coaching is that the key to peak performance is the emotional state you are in at any given moment. The emotional frame you are in will have a direct impact on your results and the level at which you are performing. The way to change your thinking is to change the way you look at things in your life. If you are not getting the results you want in your life you need to look at your beliefs. Your beliefs have a direct impact on the results you are getting in your life so if you want different results, address what are your limiting beliefs.

I will explore more in depth with Baiju about his coaching and the emotional intelligence. Join us on Tuesday May 20th 2008 at 20:00 UTC - 22:00 CET - 21:00 GMT - 16:00 EST.

Have an outstanding day!
